Washington Improv Theater's revolution won't ask you to swear a loyalty oath, incriminate your loved ones or seize the means of production. But it does need your money.
What for?
We need your support to meet the ambitious goals we’ve set for performances, classes, and community outreach next year. Goals like:
- Cultivate more new performers than ever
- Create even more ambitious artistic programming
- Teach more improv classes than ever
- Share improv with more new faces through community outreach
- Invade even more workplaces with improv's powerful ideas
What's the target?
$20K. If we can raise that much before year end, we'll be on track to meet the goals we've set for 2010. And if we can raise $10K from individual donations, then matching pledges from WIT's board of directors will kick in to make up the other half.
Why me?
If you're on this page it's probably because improv and WIT mean something to you. WIT is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and one of every 3 bucks in the budget comes from a donor who believes in WIT's mission. Someone like you. Your contribution can help WIT share the creative power of improv with even more people in the year ahead.
2009 has been fantastic: more audience members, shows, and students than ever before. Now we want 2010 to blow it out of the water with more playfulness, more spontaneity, and more absolute unpredictability. With your help, we can do it.
So... if improv has been an important part of your life or that of someone you love, or you value the role WIT plays in keeping DC’s arts scene playful and unpredictable, then please help the improv revolution... revolve! Make your donation here.
On behalf of the Revolution, we thank you!
