This winter, Washington Improv Theater returns to the Source for an all-new run of Seasonal Disorder shows. Starting in the late summer of 2008, WIT will make the Source its permanent home thanks to an arrangement with the Cultural Development Corporation.
Located near the heart of the U Street corridor at 1835 14th St NW, Source boasts a black box theater that seats about one hundred audience members. Once renovated, the capacity will jump to one hundred fifty, and WIT will have offices and classroom space on the second floor for its daily operations and Training Program.
Metro: The Source is located a few short blocks away from the U Street / African-American Civil War Memorial / Cardozo metro station on the Green and Yellow lines. Just take the exit at 13th and U Street and head west down U until you hit 14th. Turn left and look for the theatre one block down on the left. Those looking for a bit more exercise can also take the Red line to Dupont Circle and wander up toward 14th and T Street.
Driving: There is minimal street parking available in the neighborhood, so you'll want to leave extra time to find a spot. For detailed driving directions, visit MapQuest or the Source website.
Buses: Visit DC Metro's website for information.
